Quietly tucked away in the industrial district of Portland was the pharmacy that was started by accident. In 1904, Dr. Robert Heldfond Sr. developed a healing base cream in his drugstore for burn patients. Discovering its moisturizing powers, he added vitamins E & B5, creating eb5 cream, a formula to help prevent aging.
His son Robert Heldfond Jr., later launched the brand, which grew to be stocked in JC Penney, serving millions across the U.S
