At NAB 2026, we honored six companies we felt deserved recognition for innovation in new product releases. The field was wide open, as we didn’t charge an entry fee to be considered. Congratulations to all the winners!
There were a lot of new products and releases, so narrowing down to six was a difficult choice. Erik and I each chose three winners from the products that we each saw during the show.

Kinefinity Vista Personal Cinema Camera
At NAB 2026 in Las Vegas, Kinefinity was teasing its upcoming Personal Cinema Camera.
I have seen prototypes of this camera since the start of its development, and it should be officially announced around Cine Gear in June.
The Vista is a very small camera with a full-frame 6K sensor that is capable of shooting in open gate.
The form factor makes it suitable for handheld shooting or for being placed on a small-sized gimbal. It is also very easy to mount for vertical shooting.
Kinerfinity has worked with Tilta to provide a cage solution as well as a nice little side handle. There are also options for larger side handles as well.
Despite being so small, Kinefinity has still managed to equip it with a good amount of inputs and outputs. There are two full-sized HDMI outputs, a 3.5mm microphone input, a 3.5mm headphone jack, two built-in stereo mics, a speaker, and a 2-pin LEMO. The camera records to a single CFexpress Type B card slot, and it has a built-in 240GB SSD drive. Footage can then be offloaded via one of the USB-C ports. You can also use one of the two USB-C ports to record externally if you want to. Additionally, you can also use one of the USB-C ports for audio.
The camera has 12 1/4-20″ mounting points, which gives you a lot of versatility when using it for different shooting applications.
The camera has a reasonably large and bright (800 nits) flip-out OLED touch screen.
Kinefinity hasn’t officially announced the recording formats or codecs, but above you can see some of the options that were on the prototype. Please note that these may not be the final versions that make it into the production camera.
The UI will be very similar to the one that is used in current Kinefinity cameras, but it will be tailored more for this camera.
In terms of powering, the camera has a single Sony NP-F style battery slot that can power the camera for around 3 hours. Additionally, there is also a 2-pin LEMO.
You could also use an upcoming Kinefinity Active Top Handle that has two USB-C PD ports and a Sony NP-F battery plate with a USB-C to LEMO adapter cable to extend the run times and provide hot-swapping capabilities.
Pricing & Availability
There is no official information about pricing or availability, but more details will be known around Cine Gear in June. The camera should retail for below $3,000 USD.
RØDELink II UHF Wireless System
The new RØDELink II is a next-generation professional wireless microphone system.
I saw the new system at NAB 2026, and I like what RØDE has released.
One thing I learned is that this new UHF wireless system uses a lot of Lectrosonic hardware. As you know, RØDE acquired Lectrosonics this year, and the RØDELink II is the first wireless system released as part of this merger.
Built for filmmakers, broadcasters, and content creators, the RØDELink II features RØDE’s proprietary UHF wireless transmission and a host of powerful features that set a new industry standard for wireless microphone systems.
Drawing on the deep wireless heritage within The Freedman Group, RØDE states that the RØDELink II benefits from decades of UHF innovation pioneered by stablemate Lectrosonics. By leveraging engineering expertise from one of the most respected names in professional wireless audio, the system delivers proven UHF performance in a new generation of RØDE products, providing exceptional reliability, interference resistance, and operational confidence in demanding RF environments.
Designed for versatility, RØDELink II includes two transmitters and a single receiver, enabling seamless dual-channel recording of multiple sound sources simultaneously. Each transmitter is paired with a broadcast-grade RØDE lavalier microphone powered by RØDE’s technology and featuring locking connectors. The transmitter’s antenna is not removable.
Packed with a host of professional features, RØDELink II includes 32-bit floating-point on-board recording in each transmitter, which records while transmitting, and is also available on the US model. There will only be a world model that can be set to the region you are using the RØDELink II system in.
The backup audio is captured directly to a microSD card. On release, there won’t be any other options other than 32-bit float; however, this could change with a firmware update. The recording feature ensures that no take is ever lost, providing peace of mind in any recording scenario.
Another excellent feature is that the receiver, after scanning for the clearest channels, will save the two best channels. If you experience interference, it will automatically switch to the second saved channel.
Pairing is very simple. Once the scan is complete, you press the transmitter pairing button, and it pairs.
Additionally, a dedicated timecode I/O port makes it easier than ever to accurately align audio and video, removing the need for complex post-production adjustments. The system has a built-in timecode generator and can be used to send timecode from the port or jammed; no external generator is required.
Sold Build Quality
After getting my hands on the system, I can say it has a very pro feel. The transmitters are light and thin due to the use of the small Nikon EN-EL25 type battery. The talent wearing the TX will appreciate the lightweight design and will look cleaner under clothing.
The transmitters do not have any menu settings options. This is all done on the receiver or the RØDELink App. I like this as the talent doesn’t need access to settings. Making these changes only on the receiver takes away the potential for an accident. Also, no screen on the TX will decrease the chance of cracking.
Complementing RØDELink II is a range of timecode and audio cables launching alongside it. These include the 3.5mm TRS to 5-Pin and 3.5mm TRS to BNC timecode cables, both featuring locking connectors, professional-grade construction, and right-angle designs for a compact, secure setup.
Additionally, the 3.5mm TRS to XLRM and XLRM Splitter cables offer solutions for connecting microphones and audio sources to professional recording devices, with options for summing stereo channels or splitting them into separate XLR outputs. Built for durability and reliability, these cables ensure stable connections and uncompromising performance in any production environment.
I’m a big fan of Lectrosonic UHF systems as I’ve been using them for many years in my broadcast work. The acquisition of Lectrosonics looks to be a win for consumers, with great tech on both sides. Exciting times for both.

BOSMA Vega H2 6K Camera
BOSMA’s new Vega H2 6K Full-Frame Camera was designed to be a good option for end-to-end solo productions, such as short-form narrative, live streaming, and documentaries, where speed and efficiency are as vital as image quality.
The VEGA H2 is built around an “All-Integrated, Full-Workflow” philosophy. It features a native horizontal-to-vertical workflow, a ToF Hybrid AF ecosystem, and an internal OVND (Optical Infinitely Variable ND) filter.
Powered by patented full-pixel imaging in both orientations, the VEGA H2 utilizes high-speed ToF Hybrid AF, automating aperture and focus in real-time. With multi-protocol streaming and a robust multi-codec architecture, it bridges the gap from capture to delivery.
The modular design supports interchangeable handles, EVFs, and audio modules, so it can adapt to any production. It can be used handheld, shoulder-mounted, or on a gimbal, and the detachable handle ensures fast transitions between setups.
Sensor & Mount
The Vega H2 utilizes a 35mm Full-Frame (36mm x 24 mm) CMOS sensor. It has approx. 25.3 million total pixels, and approx 24.5 million active pixels.
BOSMA states that the pixel size is 5.94um and that the camera has 14 stops of dynamic range. It also has an optical low-pass filter.
The lens mount is standard PL, but it is interchangeable, and Canon EF and Leica M mounts are also available.
The camera has a dual native ISO of 800 and 5000. The ISO is adjustable from 200 to a maximum of 12,800.
Recording
The BOSMA Vega H2 6K camera is capable of recording 6K Open Gate at up to 29.97p. It can also do 6K 2.39:1 at up to 59.94p. It can also record in 4K in full frame.
There is a 4K S35 mode where you can record up to 59.94p. In HD, you can record at up to 160fps.
Recording can be done in H.264, H.265, H.264 / H.265 ALL-Intra, and ProRes 422HQ / 422 / 422L.
The maximum recording bitrate is 600Mbps in 12-bit. You can record in REC.709, Log, or HLG.
Recording is done to two SD UHS-I memory card slots. You can also attach an external USB 3.0 Type-C SSD if you prefer.

Size & Weight
The camera body weighs ≤ 1.5kg / 3.3 lbs, and with its included accessories, it tips the scales at ≤ 2.5kg / 5.5 lbs. It has physical dimensions of 205 x 115 x 110 mm / 8 x 4.5 x 4.3″.
The body of the camera is made out of Aluminum Alloy. It is rated to work in temperatures from 0 – 40 °C / 32 – 104 °F.
In some ways, the camera sort of looks a little bit like the old Sony FS700
Power
The camera draws a maximum of 30W, and it can be powered by BP-U series batteries, or you can use the BOSMA BP-U to V-Mount adapter. Additionally, there is a 4-pin DC IN 12V~16.8V.

The camera has a good array of inputs and outputs, including 12G-SDI, Timecode, HDMI, two XLR inputs with phantom power, and a USB Type-C top handle communication interface and two 2 USB Type-C FIZ motor interfaces.
It also supports full network transmission, so you can sync multi-camera setups for multi-cam production.
Monitoring Screen & Side Display
The external monitor is a 4.5-inch LCD TFT touchscreen with approx. 6.22M dots.
The side display panel is a 1.54-inch LCD IPS touchscreen with approx. 170k dots.
Camera Functionality
The camera offers a lot of features and functionality. You can put it into a Vertical / Horizontal Switching mode, which is handy. It also has drop-in adjustable OVND 0.3~2.4 stops (PL, EF mount only), image stabilization, dual card recording,
ToF Hybrid & Lens Control System
The precision ToF active sensing tracks targets up to 50m / 164′. It enables real-time automation of focus, zoom, and aperture-even for manual lenses. Presetable lens data allows one-click configuration recovery after lens swaps, ensuring a fast and stable workflow.
This system is a little different from what both Viltrox and Tilta are doing with adapters, as BOSMA’s implementation is using a target device on the camera’s top handle that then communicates and works with the camera. The Viltrox and Tilta adapters communicate with the sensor’s native AF capabilities.
The ToF Hybrid & Lens Control System requires the installation of the camera top handle and the BOSMA FOCUS drive motors. According to BOSMA, the camera will come with three lens motors in the kit.
You can use up to three motors at once to control focus, iris, and zoom.
Horizontal Switching
The company’s patented HVS design enables the CMOS, mount, and lens to rotate 90° in sync, with the Ul adapting instantly. By utilizing the entire sensor, the VEGA H2 achieves full-pixel capture with zero crop loss. This preserves maximum detail, delivering professional image quality and an efficient workflow optimized for mobile-first content.
OVND: Optical Stepless ND
The camera features a built-in plug-in electronic ND system with a 0.3-2.4 range. This allows users to adjust exposure on the fly without swapping filters. Expandable support for more plug-in filter options is coming soon.

Thoughts
The BOSMA Vega H2 6K Camera is certainly an interesting addition to the market. It looks to have a lot of features and functionality, and making a camera that is being targeted at solo operators makes a lot of sense; however, it does face stiff competition from other manufacturers.

Power Sharing Mode

How many batteries can you charge at once?
PowerVault features five configurable charging bays. In its base configuration, it supports five SNAP positions and can scale up to 40 SNAP packs when stacked in parallel.
Each bay delivers approximately 40–50W per battery, allowing a typical 98Wh V-mount to charge in under 2 hours while charging up to five batteries simultaneously.

Tilta Nucleus E to PL Mount Autofocus Adapter
Tilta’s Nucleus Autofocus Adapter that brings modern autofocus performance to manual PL mount cinema lenses.
Unlike common LiDAR solutions, the adapter leverages the camera’s native autofocus system to drive lens focus and aperture adjustments.
This system uses the camera’s native phase-detection autofocus and translates that data directly to external motors through the Nucleus-M II Wireless Control System. A built-in lens library allows for fast and easy calibration, while the adapter intercepts AF data to drive the motor with accurate, responsive focus. The system is also compatible with both the Nucleus-M II motor and the Nano II motor. When using the system with two wireless motors, users can adjust the iris via the camera’s electronic control.
Lens data can be edited and shared across devices as the adapter unit’s built-in storage stores lens data, which can also be accessed on the Nucleus series hand unit when connected.
For traditional workflows, the Nucleus-M II FIZ unit can override autofocus so that the 1st AC can pull focus manually. The E-mount Autofocus Adapter is compatible with select Sony cameras, including the FX2, FX3, FX30, and FX6. It won’t work with the BURANO or FX9. Tilta told me that the main reason why it won’t work with the BURANO or FX9 is that the E-mount design is different from cameras like the FX3 and FX6.
Sony E-mount will be supported first, followed by Canon RF mount support. Further mounts should come in the future, including Leica L and Nikon Z.
